In October of 2021, we shared new renders for the proposed redevelopment of the old Searstown/Titusville Mall into a ‘Titusville Resort & Destination’, which included an apartment complex with 340-multi-family dwelling units, a hotel with 153 rooms w/5,000sqft restaurant, 46,400sqft of medical office space, 77,550sqft of retail space, a sit-down restaurant and a foot fast food restaurant.
The owner of the mall is requesting a Conditional Use Permit from the City to modify the previously proposed Master Plan, to build two 6-story multifamily buildings, (62-64 foot tall) and one 7-story, (72-74 foot tall), in the Urban Village. zoning district.
New plans, below, show changes that add two 4-story parking garages, while the layout of the development has changed as well.

The newly added parking garages will add 714 parking spaces total between the two 4-sory structures
Plans previously announced in October show retail and medical on the west side of the property.

A Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting is currently scheduled for February 2nd and a City Council Meeting is scheduled for February 8th.
I think it is a GREAT idea, that very well might awaken the sleepy city of Titusville once again…
Does Titusville have excess water supply and sewage capacity to handle more development – of any kind? When we hear there is more sewage capacity does that mean they are “treating and dumping in the local lakes that flow into the little waterways that end up going into streams and then into the Indian River?
