According to a recent study on NewHomeSource.com, Titusville has been ranked as the most affordable city in Florida for homeowners
The study says that Titusville offers the lowest overall cost of living, compared with the rest of Florida, with a home price to income ratio of 3.08%. The average property tax is $1236, and the median household income stands at $46,609.
Florida, being one of the highly populated states, experienced some of the largest state-to-state flows. People leaving these states tended to move to other highly populated or neighboring states.
This trend, coupled with the affordability of cities like Titusville, is likely to continue attracting new residents to our area.
This significant recognition underscores the value and appeal of our community, making it a top choice for both in-state and out-of-state movers.
The U.S. Census Bureau’s recent report provides further insights into the migration patterns across the United States. It states that nearly 7.9 million people in the United States moved between states in 2021, up from almost 7.4 million in 2019.

Most notably, the majority of people moving to Florida came from New York, the fourth largest state in population. This longstanding migration pattern is likely influenced by factors such as climate, job opportunities, and cost of living.
This increase in state-to-state movers occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, which had sweeping effects on work and life circumstances such as a shift to remote work, potentially influencing geographic mobility.

Our city is home to the site that launches rockets, satellites & humans, and residents have the unique opportunity to witness these launches firsthand. From touring the Kennedy Space Center to relaxing at Canaveral National Seashore, there’s always something exciting happening here.
