A 28-year-old Rockledge man was arrested Friday night after reports of a masked, armed individual forced the evacuation of a local gym.
Titusville Police Department officers responded to the Planet Fitness at 700 Cheney Highway at approximately 9:25 p.m. on Oct. 23 following a report of a man armed with a firearm inside the men’s locker room.

The business was evacuated as officers arrived on the scene.
Police located the suspect, identified as Trevon Malik Syndab, and detained him following a brief scuffle, according to the arrest affidavit.
During a search of Syndab, officers found a glass pipe tucked in the lower left portion of his pant leg. Police stated the pipe field-tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
Officers also searched the gym’s locker room but did not locate a firearm. They did, however, find the mask Syndab was reportedly wearing alongside his personal belongings.
Syndab was transported to the Brevard County Jail. He faces one count of possession of drug paraphernalia with residue and one count of disorderly conduct.
He was held on a $750 bond.
