The City of Titusville has issued a precautionary boil water notice for several addresses along South Hopkins Avenue following a water main break and subsequent repairs.

The service disruption began at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, when crews shut off the water main to fix a break. The main has since been returned to service, and officials noted that the advisory is being issued purely as a precautionary measure.

Impacted properties include specific addresses ranging from the 3500 to 3800 blocks of South Hopkins Avenue, including numbers 3556, 3558, 3604, 3608, 3620, 3630, 3656, 3659, 3666, 3667, 3700, 3720, 3724, 3760, 3762, 3764, 3776, 3808, 3816, and 3820.

Residents in the affected area are advised to bring all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes to a rolling boil for at least one minute.

Alternatively, bottled water may be used for consumption. Water remains safe for non-consumptive uses, such as bathing and laundering.

The notice will stay in effect until laboratory tests confirm the water is safe. City officials anticipate the advisory will be rescinded by Friday, September 25, 2026, at which point official notices will be distributed to impacted properties.
