A local man is in custody following the robbery of a 71-year-old woman at a gas station on Friday morning, according to the Titusville Police Department.
Justin Robert Pintner, 43, a convicted felon from Titusville, was arrested and charged with Strong-arm Robbery, Attempted Carjacking, Battery on a person over 65 years of age, and Grand Theft.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:38 AM on Friday, August 22, 2025, in the parking lot of the Sunoco Gas Station located at 1390 Garden Street.
According to the preliminary investigation, Pintner approached the victim and demanded her purse, car keys, and vehicle. After a struggle, he successfully took the victim’s purse, which contained her keys and other personal belongings. The victim was not physically injured during the encounter.
A multi-agency search was launched immediately. At approximately 10:53 AM, less than 90 minutes after the initial report, officers located Pintner hiding in a nearby wooded area. He was taken into custody without incident. The victim’s stolen items were recovered and returned to her.
The rapid response involved Titusville Police patrol units, K9 teams, and detectives, who were assisted by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office aviation unit. Officials credited this interagency cooperation for the swift apprehension of the suspect.
“With the swift work of our officers and partners, the suspect, who preyed upon a vulnerable victim, has been brought to justice,” said Detective Sergeant Bryan Nelson. “This arrest is a clear reminder of our commitment to provide our citizens a city where they feel safe.”
Pintner was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.
