The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is boosting its emergency response capabilities thanks to a $38,052 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The funding will provide the agency with a new inflatable shelter, insulation liner, climate control system, lighting, and accessories—critical equipment designed to protect deputies during emergency deployments, especially in severe weather and hurricane conditions.

Unlike previous tents that required six people and two hours to assemble, the new shelter can be set up by just two people in a fraction of the time, enabling faster mobilization and improved protection for first responders in the field.
Sheriff Wayne Ivey expressed gratitude for the support, stating, “These brave first-responders provide critical lifesaving, law enforcement, and public safety services to communities in their time of need, and I want to thank the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation for helping us meet the goals of our mission.”

The grant is part of the Foundation’s ongoing effort to support first responders nationwide. Since its inception in 2005, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has awarded over 6,800 grants totaling more than $96 million to public safety organizations across the U.S.
The Brevard County grant is one of 87 awarded in the most recent cycle, providing more than $2.1 million in lifesaving equipment nationwide.

A celebration and equipment demonstration was held at Firehouse Subs in Titusville, with Sheriff Ivey, Foundation Executive Director Robin Peters, and local franchisee Britt Diaz in attendance.
