A local man has died following a two-vehicle crash at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the intersection of Barna Avenue and Columbia Boulevard (State Road 405).

According to the Titusville Police Department, Erik R. Sayer, 50, of Titusville, was driving a white 2002 Toyota Camry northbound on Barna Avenue.

While crossing the intersection at S.R. 405, his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a 1998 red Dodge Dakota truck traveling westbound on S.R. 405. The truck was driven by Alyssa D. Hall, 44, of Cocoa.

Sayer was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries at 8:02 p.m. Hall sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and authorities have stated that additional details will be released as the investigation progresses.
