Beginning January 2, 2025, residents of Titusville who pay utility bills using credit cards, debit cards, or other electronic payment methods will incur transaction fees. This change is aimed at offsetting rising payment processing costs, according to a recent announcement by the City of Titusville.

To avoid these fees, customers are encouraged to use their bank’s online bill pay service, which remains a fee-free option.

The new fees will be applied by Invoice Cloud, the city’s payment processing provider. Officials emphasized that the City of Titusville does not profit from these charges, which are assessed directly to users for the convenience of electronic payment options.

Transaction Fee Details (Effective January 2, 2025):

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 2.75% of the transaction amount (minimum $1.95).
  • ACH/EFT Payments: $0.95 per transaction.
  • AutoPay ACH/EFT Payments: $0.35 per transaction.
  • IVR Phone Payments: An additional $0.50 fee will apply to the above methods.

Residents can manage their payment preferences or make adjustments by logging into their online accounts. For additional questions, the city encourages customers to reach out via email at customerservice@titusville.com or by calling 321-383-5791.

  1. Are these fee for just online bill pay or do they include in person electronic payments as well?

  2. What blows my mind about this is they act like it is a big burden to save labor by having all the payments processed electronically. We should all protest and take or mail checks to city hall and make them spend the labor processing the and see which is less expensive for the city.
