A Titusville Police Officer was involved in a shooting early Thursday morning following a domestic violence call, according to Mayor Andrew Connors.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 AM on December 6, 2024. Officers were responding to a domestic violence complaint when the situation escalated dramatically.

A male suspect, reportedly linked to a series of domestic violence incidents in recent weeks, confronted officers upon their arrival.
According to Mayor Connors’ statement, the suspect exited his vehicle wielding a weapon and threatened the responding officer. In response, the officer fired, critically injuring the man.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. No further details about his condition or the nature of his weapon have been released at this time.
Mayor Connors assured the public that updates will be provided as more information becomes available. “We are committed to transparency and will keep the community informed as the investigation continues,” he said.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is expected to investigate the incident, as is standard protocol for officer-involved shootings.
This marks the latest development in a series of domestic violence-related incidents in the area, highlighting an ongoing challenge for local law enforcement and community leaders.
Further updates are anticipated as investigators piece together the circumstances surrounding the event.
