A Coquina Elementary School teacher was arrested Friday morning after Titusville police discovered methamphetamine during a well-being check.
Teresa Pritchard Mancini, 52, of Titusville, was taken into custody at approximately 10:40 a.m. on May 1, 2026. Officers located Mancini in room 148 of the Days Inn.

Mancini faces the following charges:

One count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Titusville Police Department Patrol Division initiated the well-being check at the request of Brevard Public Schools (BPS) and District Security. BPS officials reported they had been attempting to contact Mancini for several days regarding an employment matter.
During the investigation at the hotel, officers discovered a bag containing a glass pipe and approximately 1.1 grams of methamphetamine.
Police officials stated there is no evidence that students were involved or placed in danger. The investigation found no connection between the incident and student activity.
“The safety and well-being of our children will always remain our highest priority,” said Deputy Chief Tyler Wright. “While this incident did not involve any students, we take every situation seriously and work closely with our school partners to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone on campus”.
Mancini is currently being held at the Brevard County Detention Center.
