Amber and Cody Short, the husband-and-wife duo behind Lucky Bee Honey, are transforming Titusville’s love for honey and bees with their unique small business.

Specializing in safe and humane bee removal services, Lucky Bee Honey LLC also offers a delightful array of honey products, from raw honey to infused and crafted varieties, along with beeswax creations. Their charming Honey Shop, crafted from a converted shed, has become a local treasure.

From Concrete to Honeycomb
The Shorts’ journey into the bee business began unexpectedly. Cody, a former concrete worker, befriended a client who introduced him to beekeeping and honey production.

What started as a side venture turned into a full-time passion, with Cody leaving the concrete industry behind in March 2024 to focus solely on the business.

What sets Lucky Bee Honey LLC apart is their creative approach to honey. In addition to raw honey, they offer infused varieties like Habanero, Vanilla Bean, and Lavender—flavors that add a unique twist to traditional favorites.

The couple’s dedication to their craft and the local community is evident through their participation in events and their commitment to humane bee practices.

One of the proudest moments for Lucky Bee Honey LLC came in June 2024 when the couple completed their Honey Shop. The labor-intensive project transformed a simple shed into a welcoming space for customers to explore their honey products.

Like many small business owners, Amber and Cody faced hurdles in gaining recognition. Through attending local events, advertising on platforms like Talk of Titusville, and relying on word-of-mouth referrals, they’ve steadily grown their customer base.

Looking ahead, the Shorts aim to attract more visitors to their Honey Shop and expand their bee removal services. Their passion for beekeeping is not just a business but a legacy for their family. Their 5-year-old daughter dreams of becoming a beekeeper, following in her father’s footsteps.
