A late-night shooting on Saturday in Titusville has left one adult injured and police searching for leads, authorities said Sunday.
Titusville Police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 10:30 p.m. near South DeLeon Avenue and W.C. Stafford Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a white 2024 Hyundai Tucson SUV with multiple bullet impacts and five occupants, including three adults, two juveniles, and an infant.
According to the victims, they heard several loud “thumps” against their vehicle during the shooting. The preliminary investigation indicates the SUV was intentionally targeted, with shots fired from an area east of DeLeon Avenue and north of W.C. Stafford Street.
One adult passenger was hit by a bullet and has been hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
The suspect or suspects fled before police arrived, and detectives are treating this as an isolated incident. They continue to pursue all investigative leads.
