The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office recently culminated an investigation into a Major Drug Trafficking Organization that was operating in Brevard County. The suspects were charged or are wanted for their alleged distribution of multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine as well with other controlled substances to include Fentanyl an Heroin.
As a result of the investigation that began in October of 2021, numerous arrest warrants were issued for the various suspects that were identified as sources or distributors of these extremely dangerous drugs. During the investigation BCSO Agents seized one and one half kilograms of Cocaine and significant amounts of Oxycodone, Fentanyl and other controlled substances. In addition to the drug seizures, various firearms were seized, three of which were reported stolen as well as U.S. currency and a Kawasaki side by side.
The defendants in this case are facing charges ranging from Conspiracy and Trafficking in controlled substances to Racketeering (RICO). The charges can bring penalties upon conviction of three to twenty-five years in prison.
Sheriff Wayne Ivey said “I could not be more proud of our Special Investigative Unit for their hard work and dedication to take drug dealers off our streets so that they can’t pedal their poison”
