A Titusville Police Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Rebecca Flannery for a window tint violation.

Flannery, driving a 2019 Dodge Charger, failed to stop for the officer, reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour, passing vehicles and almost running several vehicles off of the road, and at one point, driving through the yard of a home on Singleton near Garden.

Officers deployed a stopstick, which punctured one tire on the vehicle. The driver ultimately stopped the vehicle on South street near Kilmarnoch.

When Flannery was removed from the vehicle by officers, 2 grams of cocaine and 2 grams of ecstasy were found in the driver seat. When asked by police why she didn’t stop, Flannery told officers she didn’t want to go back to jail.

Rebecca Flannery is being held in the Brevard County Jail on a $19,500 bond for the following charges:

  • Flee/Elude LEO With Lights/Siren
  • Cocaine – Possession
  • Controlled Substance – Poss WO Prescription
  • DWLS With Knowledge
