Caregiver Arrested for Multiple Felonies

A woman employed at a local assisted living facility providing care for elderly residents was arrested after Titusville Police responded to a July 9th 2020 theft report, which connected the suspect’s involvement with several criminal fraudulent incidents.

Haley Marie Comet Edwards, 20, of Titusville, was charged with:

  • Felony Exploitation of an Elderly Person
  • 3 Felony Counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
  • 7 Felony Counts of Criminal Use of Identification

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, a certified nursing assistant employed at Titusville Towers Assisted Living, located at 405 Indian River Avenue, obtained a resident’s stolen bank debit card and made several unauthorized transactions.

Edwards was taken into custody without incident on July 21st 2020 at

1:10 PM, at her place of employment and subsequently booked into the Brevard County Jail.

This incident remains an active ongoing investigation by Titusville Police Detectives and additional charges are pending
