Raised on the Space Coast, I want to keep North Brevard informed of what's happening. Send Tips / Story Ideas to TitusvilleMedia@gmail.com

4 responses to “Current Developments in North Brevard”

  1. Where do I read that BEFORE all of this construction begins that Titusville residents can be assured that the city’s responsibility for adequate infrastructure is presented?
    Where is the current
information regarding the infrastructure required for the new load these facilities will use?

  2. How many house on the list to sell, that can’t be? How much has the population dwindled in the past year? And this looks to be over 1000 new living spaces (homes/Apts). Ridiculous. Titusville can’t afford it and after 30 years of being gone, still can’t be a city. Housing is NOT the answer.

  3. You’ll notice that we were just informed of significant increases of water bills, police, fire, waste water, storm water in addition to the expense of a new city hall and new police headquarters. These are all necessary to accommodate the increases in demand brought on by all the new construction and anticipated growth with new citizens. These additional expenses are being shouldered by the entire current citizenry while developers walk away with millions of dollars in their pockets by ignoring the impact on our current infrastructure. If the developers intend to continue all this building then they need to pay their way!

  4. I am wondering where are the site plans for new restaurants for all these people/families to eat at? Now I am specifically meaning full-size, chain restaurants (not micro-size, like everything else we seem to get). Perhaps, an Olive Garden, a Cheddars, a few nice steak houses, and some good affordable seafood restaurants, just to name a few. I also didn’t see any site plans for shopping- which this town desperately needs. Perhaps an Academy Sports, a Best Buy for electronics, some retail clothing and some decent shoe stores (again, not “micro-size”). How about new schools? Of course, one can’t help to think about the massive amounts of sewage, and how about our drinking water and rivers, since that is already a problem. It just seems like a whole lot of residential growth without all the other necessary growths that usually are needed to go along with it.
    Just wondering.
