Titusville-based Knights Armament Co. is sending its M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper Systems (SASS) to Ukraine, fulfilling a $22.6 million contract announced by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) is overseeing the transfer of the 7.62x51mm NATO rifles, which are intended to replace Ukraine’s aging inventory of SVD sniper rifles.

The M110 systems provide a significant upgrade in precision and range for Ukrainian forces.
The delivery stems from a prior production contract that the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) modified, awarding the local manufacturer an additional $13,999,000.
This modification was specifically for the continued production of the M110 SASS and related support for the Ukrainian effort. The work for that contract modification is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2024.
In total, the announced efforts related to the M110 SASS for Ukraine exceed $36.6 million, providing substantial manufacturing volume for the Titusville company and solidifying its role as a key supplier of advanced weaponry to the U.S. government’s security assistance programs.
