In a move to enhance convenience for its residents, the City of Titusville Public Works Department has announced the opening of two new Solid Waste Drop-Off locations.

The new sites, established in response to feedback from the community, are now operational as of June 6, 2025.

The newly established drop-off sites are intended for residential use only and are located at:

These locations provide an additional option for residents to dispose of household waste, recyclables, and cardboard. Commercial waste is not accepted at these new sites.

Prohibited Items:

“We have listened to and responded to requests from our residents for additional waste drop-off locations,” stated Public Works Operations Director Sandra Reller. “Our team has delivered centrally located options for our residents, providing an additional point of service which will ultimately help maintain the cleanliness and beauty of Titusville.”

The new disposal sites are part of a monitored pilot program. Their long-term viability will be determined based on public participation and overall program effectiveness.

Residents with prohibited items or materials not accepted at these drop-off locations are advised to take them to the Titusville Transfer Station on State Road 405, if accepted, or the Central Disposal Facility in Cocoa.

  1. The article says cardboard will not be allowed yet the photo of the new location shows a cardboard only dumpster.

  2. The dump site on Singleton is in an area that is mixed industrial and residential, and the dump site on Sisson Road is in an area that is residential.

If the dump site on Sisson Road results in stopping the practice of dumping trash between Denise Dr and SR-50, then will be easier for the homeowners to accept the dump site.

The city does need to install privacy fencing around the Sisson Road Dump Site.
