A joint operation between the Titusville Police Department (TPD) Special Investigations Section (SIS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) task force has led to the arrest of 51-year-old Shawn Michael Boone on charges related to the sale and possession of methamphetamine.
Court documents reveal Boone allegedly conducted two controlled drug transactions near a local church, resulting in enhanced felony charges.

According to an arrest affidavit filed in Brevard County, undercover detectives coordinated two controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Boone on January 8 and January 17, 2025, both occurring in the parking lot of the Winn-Dixie grocery store at 1535 N. Singleton Avenue.
The location is approximately 636 feet from the Way of Life Baptist Church, triggering a charge under Florida Statute 893.13 for selling controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a place of worship.
During the first operation on January 8, a confidential informant (CI) equipped with audio/video recording devices purchased $250 worth of methamphetamine from Boone, who arrived in a gray Mercedes-Benz sedan. Detectives reported recovering approximately 28.2 grams of methamphetamine, which field-tested positive using a NARK II kit.
A second controlled buy on January 17 involved a $500 transaction where Boone arrived as a passenger in a black Chevrolet Impala driven by Bonnie E. Sneed, whose role remains under investigation. Detectives seized two additional bags of methamphetamine weighing 27.3 and 27.4 grams, respectively.
The affidavit states that Boone was identified through prior law enforcement encounters and Florida driver’s license records. Detectives documented both transactions via surveillance and body-worn cameras, with the CI remaining under constant observation.
Boone faces charges including “Sale/Possession of a Controlled Substance” and “Sale of a Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of a Church,” both first-degree felonies under Florida law. His bond was denied, and he remains in custody at Brevard County Jail.
