The Titusville City Council will convene on Tuesday, July 9th, at 6:30 p.m. for a meeting with a wide-ranging agenda.

The meeting will begin with a presentation on the ADA compliance of the city’s website, followed by reports from the Historic Preservation Board and the Titusville Housing Authority.

A significant portion of the meeting will focus on the consent agenda, which includes items such as contract amendments, grant approvals, and equipment purchases. Notably, the council will consider increasing the authorized amount for utility maintenance projects and awarding a task order for engineering services at the Blue Heron Water Reclamation Facility.

The council will also hold a first reading of an ordinance related to a Small Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment and discuss the allocation of mid-year funding to the United States Law Enforcement Foundation and the Titusville Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida.

In new business, the council will review and approve the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget for the North Brevard Economic Development Zone and consider a road closure for a special event. Additionally, the council will provide direction on a Public Works stormwater rate review and discuss a recommendation from the Titusville Environmental Commission related to the Royal Oaks Golf Course.

The meeting will conclude with a discussion of the advisability to draft an ordinance consistent with Chapter No. 2024-210 Laws of Florida, Expedited Approval of Residential Building Permits.

The meeting will also include time for public comment and the consideration of any petitions or requests. You can view the whole Agenda Packet Below

  1. The ADA presentation on the city website was cited as not having a PowerPoint presentation visual and appears to simply be a report. With Titusville currently the least transparent of the Brevard cities, and that has been unable to get its meeting packets online in an acceptable format, do city council members and residents deserve more than a pre-written city manager explanation tucked into the agenda packet that must be obtained by contacting the city clerk? Unless of course Talk of Titusville has done that for you!

Residents should insist that the city manager stop stonewalling and get the meeting materials and several other missing items online immediately.

Please also insist that the city manager begin Livestreaming all meetings and workshops so residents don’t need to come from surrounding cities to help inform other Brevard residents.

  2. I wholeheartedly agree with everything you posted “Kristin L.”

I still have a lot to learn about computers, so this sounds like a good idea.

  4. Posting the entire Agenda Packet is a Powerful Community Service. As private citizens we have to request the agenda packet EVERY time from the City Clerks. They must get tired of these requests.

  5. […] On June 19, more than 30 residents attended a Titusville planning and zoning committee meeting to express concerns about the Bristol project, including issues with parking and environmental impacts. The committee ultimately recommended denying the zoning change, which will go for a final vote with the city on July 23. The first hearing of the proposed zoning change is on Tuesday, July 9th at 6:30pm at City Hall […]

How can the city infrastructure be expected to support all this new development. Seems like the lack of logic in the proposed not logically planned development and expansion of Titusville going to bring up problems that are not addressed or planned for.
