A Titusville man, Cecil Byron III, is facing multiple charges, including sexual battery on a minor, following a series of incidents that occurred between May 2022 and January 2023.
According to an arrest affidavit, the Titusville Police Department began its investigation on September 17, 2023, after receiving a report from the victim. On September 22, a forensic interview was conducted with the victim, who provided a sworn statement detailing the offenses.

According to the report, the victim disclosed that she was forced into sexual encounters with the defendant on multiple occasions. She also stated that the defendant paid her in small denominations of cash during each encounter.
The victim, who was not sexually active with anyone else, was later diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease, specifically Chlamydia Trachomatis. Medical documentation dated September 16, 2023, confirmed the diagnosis, according to the arrest affidavit.
Byron, a registered sex offender with a prior conviction for lewd or lascivious battery, is currently out on bond for two additional felony cases.
One case involves lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor, and the other is related to RICO/Illegal Narcotics Trafficking.
Byron is currently charged with five counts each of:
– LEWD LASCIVIOUS TOUCHING OFF 24 OLDER VIC 16 OR 17
– FORCE COMPEL COERCE ANOTHER TO BECOME PROSTITUTE
Byron is being held on a $750,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before Judge Michelle Baker on October 19th at 8:00 a.m.
