The Florida Fire Service is currently tackling a wildfire, ominously named the ‘Plantation Fire’, situated north of 50, west of Titusville.
The fire service officials declared that the actual size of the wildfire remains unknown due to challenging ground conditions, which have hampered firefighters’ efforts to reach the fire.
The Plantation Fire was first identified in several locations north of Cheney Highway. Dramatic footage has emerged of the flames, highlighting the severity of the situation. Florida Fire Service officials suspect the fire might have been sparked by recent lightning storms that swept across the area.

In response to the challenging terrain, the Florida Fire Service has called in the help of specialized amphibious vehicles. These versatile units are capable of traversing difficult terrains and water bodies, allowing firefighters to reach the fire despite the impediments on the ground.
