The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent request for the public’s assistance in locating escaped prisoner Nathan Barker, a 22-year-old white male.
Barker managed to flee from the Florida Department of Corrections Work Release Camp in Sharpes on the evening of [insert date].
Authorities believe that Barker may have left the camp in an unknown direction from Camp Road in Cocoa and could be headed to Volusia County, his original home.
At the time of his escape, he was wearing fluorescent green clothing, typically worn as a work uniform, and had an ankle monitor. However, it is suspected that he has since removed the GPS device.
Barker has a warrant out for his arrest on charges of escape, and he has a substantial criminal history that includes drug offenses and fleeing from law enforcement.
Members of the public are urged to be vigilant and to report any sightings or information regarding Barker’s whereabouts.
