Last updated on June 19, 2022

Crews are working a large brush fire on the south side of SR46 at Six Mile Creek.

46 is currently closed in both directions and will be for an extended period of time. Florida Forest Service is also on scene.

Smoke is currently banking down in Fawn Lake, Hog Valley, 95 north of 46 and US1 around Aurantia Rd.

At this time there is no threat to homes.

Mims volunteers are currently monitoring condition on Fawn Lake.

Please use caution on US1 and 95 as smoke conditions may get worse and reduce visibility.

The fire is about 100 acres, according to the FFS website.
