It’s the time of year when as you walk towards your local Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie or sometimes Loews. And you see those tables piled high with stacks and stacks of pure sugar heaven.
That’s right, it’s Girl Scout Cookie season.

Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Samoas, Lemon-ups, Do-Si-Dos, gluten-free Toffee Tastic and S’Mores are more than enough to take one to that heavenly zone, but this year the Girl Scouts decided to take it up one more notch.

A must try: The newest Girl Scout cookie, Adventurefuls™
The new Adventurefuls™ cookie is being described as an “indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored creme and a hint of sea salt, with an incredible taste of adventure in every bite.”

Though it might not be an official time of jubilation, you know it’s here and there’s rejoicing.
Plus they are once again being sold in person (using creative, socially distant and contact free ways to keep themselves and customers safe). Though the experience of finding new ways to sell during the pandemic the past two years, including virtual cookie booths and drive-thru contactless cookies stands, showed the girl entrepreneurs’ resilience and adaptability, it’s nice to have the in-person option again.
That, along with those friends and coworkers with daughters who are Girl Scouts offering you a chance to order from them and get that fix delivered directly.
You’ll tell yourself it’s for a great cause, and it really is, but in reality you’re jonesing like the rest of us and at $5 a box more than ready for a cookie bender.
