According to Lt. Kim Montes, Florida Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer, three vehicles were traveling southbound on U.S. 1, in the left lane.

As the victim laid in the roadway, two other vehicles, including a a tractor trailer driven by a 55-year-old man from Mims, and a SUV driven by a 59-year-old woman from Cocoa, were unable to avoid the victim and both vehicles struck him as he lay in the roadway, according to Lt. Montes.
