A judge says the charges against Kelli Mondshein are too serious to release her on bond.
The 27-year-old Titusville woman is facing the charge of sexual battery on a child under the age of 12. Officials say that child was under Mondshein’s care at the time.
According to Titusville police, while working as the child’s babysitter last year, Mondshein engaged in sexual activity with the girl.
It came to the mother’s attention when she found a letter Mondshein allegedly wrote to the girl saying she loved her, according to officials.
Police say Mondshein called the victim her girlfriend and babe on a social media account.
On the same account, police say Mondshein also warned the victim she could be arrested or go to jail.
After the mother found the letter, she fired Mondshein and called police.
Titusville police say Mondshein is also facing a second charge, accused of molesting another child under the age of 12.
