Help Identify Curtis Murray Jr.’s Killers

Titusville Police held a press conference Wednesday morning releasing 2 photos & video of the possible killers of Curtis Murray Jr.

Sgt. Tim Werring with Titusville police said “This is a heinous crime to come into someone’s home, to attempt to rob them and then shoot them and to take their life. There’s no more serious crime that comes to our desks,”

On Monday, May 10, 2021, at approximately 6:30 PM, Titusville Police responded to a report of shots fired at a home located on the 500 block of Rock Pit Road.

Officers secured the crime scene, and located the victim, Curtis Murray Jr., 34, of Titusville, in the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspects, described as two unknown black males wearing hoodies, entered the residence and held Murray and a juvenile at gun point in an effort to steal their belongings. Evidence indicates the victim was shot during a physical altercation with the suspects.

The suspects fled the scene immediately after the incident and are still at large.

Curtis Murray Jr. was transported to a local hospital and succumb to his injuries at approximately 1 AM.

The juvenile was not injured.

Detectives are working all leads, and the initial evidence indicates the victims were specifically targeted by the suspects, and this was not a random act of violence.
