The forum will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the large pavilion in Sand Point Park, just north of downtown Titusville.

Cathy Riley, president of the North Brevard Democratic Club, said the speakers will share the latest developments in community policing and discuss what may be appropriate to be implemented in Titusville.

“The idea is to do something proactive,” so as to lessen the chance of poor relations between police officers and residents, as well as to build community trust of law enforcement, Riley said.

A key to this, Riley said is officers “building up rapport and relationships” with members of the general public.

People attending the forum will be required to wear facemasks. The venue will be set up to allow for social distancing.

For those who want to view the presentation from home, the event will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of the North Brevard Democratic Club: facebook.com/officialnorthbrevarddems/
