Sunday was a horrific day for some residents in Titusville as two shootings occurred within hours of each other.

Sunday Afternoon

TPD are busy following leads in the shooting of Arthur Starkes, after being fatally shot while working on a vehicle in the Forest Park Apartment complex just after 3pm on Sunday.

Witnesses states that Arthur was working on a vehicle when an unknown suspect, or suspects, shot Arthur and then immediately fled the scene.

Police secured the scene within minutes and set a perimeter looking for the unknown suspect(s)

Arthur was transported to PMC and died from his injuries at 3:44pm

Sunday Night

At around 10:30pm Sunday night, a TPD officer radioed in that he heard shots fired, then females screaming. Dispatch started receiving multiple calls for shots fired on 3rd Avenue, with one caller saying that a female teen at the scene received a gun shot wound to the leg.

Minutes later, Parrish Medical Center notified TPD that two teens, 17 & 15, walked in with non-life-threatening gun shot wounds, possibly connected to the shooting on 3rd Avenue

Witnesses described seeing three black males firing dozens of rounds, striking homes and vehicles the whole length of 3rd Avenue
