Firefighters encountered heavy smoke upon arrival, with flames visible through the roof.

Access to the blaze was hampered by clutter within the residence. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but remained on scene for several hours to ensure no smoldering embers remained.

Brevard County Fire Rescue received assistance from the Titusville Police Department.

There were no reported injuries, and the Red Cross was not called upon for assistance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. Power to the residence was disconnected due to a live wire sparking near the back of the home.
