Residents and business owners in Titusville affected by the Oct. 26 severe storm and flooding have a rapidly approaching deadline to get in-person assistance for federal disaster loans.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) at the Titusville Public Library will permanently close on Thursday, Dec. 4.

The SBA is urging anyone who suffered damage to their property—including homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofits—to visit the center at the Brevard County Titusville Library, 2121 South Hopkins Avenue, before it closes.

Final In-Person Assistance
The DLOC is the community’s last opportunity to receive one-on-one help from SBA staff with the low-interest disaster loan application process. Until its closure on Dec. 4, the center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

An SBA representative reported that as of Nov. 25, the agency had already approved loan funds totaling $73,900 for three individuals. Loan offers totaling $683,100 have been extended to 15 other applicants.

The SBA also encourages applicants whose loan requests were previously declined or withdrawn to return to the DLOC for further guidance and assistance.

Deadlines Remain
While the in-person center is closing, the filing deadline for physical property damage applications is Jan. 6, 2026. The deadline for Economic Injury Disaster Loan applications is Aug. 7, 2026.

Loan funds are offered directly from the U.S. Treasury to help cover uncompensated losses for repair, replacement, and rebuilding. Successful applicants have 21 days from the date of the offer to decide whether to accept the funds.

After the DLOC closes, applications can still be made online at sba.gov/disaster. For general questions, the SBA Customer Service Center is available by calling 800-659-2955.
