Dylen Shortt, a 19-year-old Cocoa resident, was arrested on charges of exposure of sexual organs after being observed engaging in lewd behavior in the women’s and girls’ clothing section of the Titusville Target store. The incident, captured on store surveillance footage, occurred on July 1.

Police responded to a report of a man without pants on an outside bench at the Target store. Although no arrest was made at that time, further investigation led to the identification of Shortt, who had entered the store shortly after.

According to a sworn statement by a Target Asset Protection Associate, surveillance footage showed Shortt masturbating with his genitals exposed. The footage also depicted Shortt spitting on his penis and staring at passing females.

Shortt, who was identified through his Florida driver’s license, was apprehended after the incident. He is currently out on a $1,000 bond for the first-degree misdemeanor of exposure of sexual organs.

His bond conditions prohibit him from entering any Target store and stipulate that he must “stay dressed in public.”

Shortt’s next court hearing is scheduled for August 15, 2024.
