A newly formed, seven-member board tasked with guiding job growth, redevelopment, and business expansion in Titusville held its inaugural meeting Friday.
The City of Titusville Economic Development Board met Aug. 14 to begin advancing the city’s long-term economic priorities. The group will help guide the strategic use of resources dedicated to economic growth across North Brevard County.

The board will focus on attracting and retaining businesses, creating jobs, spurring capital investment, and strengthening partnerships across the Space Coast. It is also charged with executing the goals of the city’s adopted Economic Development Strategic Plan.
The board consists of seven local business and community leaders. Bart Gaetjens serves as chairman, alongside Vice Chairman Sean Hollis and Secretary Edna Wilson. Members Dan Aton, Amer Hatoum, Tanya Hudson, and Stan Retz round out the board.
City Economic Development Director Nicholas Gow will serve as the board’s executive director. He will act as the primary liaison between the board, city staff, and prospective businesses.
“The inaugural meeting marked an important milestone for economic development in Titusville,” Gow said. “The board is composed of accomplished community and business leaders who are committed to working collaboratively and positioning Titusville for sustainable, long-term economic growth.”
Regular meetings are scheduled for the second Friday of each month at 9 a.m. inside the Titusville City Council Chamber.
The board’s next session, an exception to the regular schedule, will take place on Friday, Sept. 25. Meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.
