A 55-year-old Titusville man was arrested on Wednesday on ten felony counts of possessing material depicting sexual conduct by a child after investigators discovered hundreds of illicit images on his personal computer.
James Harvey Griffith was taken into custody by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office on March 25, 2026, at a location on Camp Road in Cocoa, Florida. A circuit court judge issued a warrant for his arrest earlier that same day, ordering that Griffith be held on no bond until his initial court appearance.

The investigation into Griffith began late last year after a witness observed him projecting images of a child onto a screen and subsequently using his keyboard to change the screen once he realized he was being watched. The witness reported that she had previously forced Griffith to hand over his phone so she could delete pictures, fearing he was using them for “something nefarious”.
Following this report, the Titusville Police Department executed a search warrant at Griffith’s Country Club Drive apartment on December 21, 2025.
After being read his Miranda Rights, Griffith initially denied viewing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), but later admitted to investigators that he occasionally visited Russian websites and had saved images of young girls that he found “interesting”.
Griffith claimed to investigators that he only saved images of girls because there were “not a lot of boys on the websites”.
A subsequent digital forensic examination of Griffith’s computer by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department revealed a massive cache of illegal content. Detectives reported finding hundreds of CSAM images on the device, many of which appeared to be compilations taken from webcam videos of different children.
Court records from the Brevard Electronic Court Application (BECA) show that Judge Michelle Naberhaus has been assigned to oversee the case. Griffith faces 10 second-degree felony counts of possession of material related to sexual conduct by a child.
No bond amount was listed as of the latest court update, and he remains under the jurisdiction of the Titusville division of the Brevard County court system.
