A Titusville man died Tuesday night following a two-vehicle crash on South Washington Avenue, police said.

Bryan Jones, 68, died from injuries sustained in the collision, which occurred at 9:22 p.m. near Columbia Boulevard.

Preliminary investigation details released Wednesday reveal Jones was driving a 2011 Nissan northbound when he rear-ended a 2005 Honda.

The Honda was driven by Claudio Foster, 57, of Cocoa.

Investigators noted that Foster appeared to be driving at a “much slower speed” on the roadway when Jones struck the vehicle.

Commander Tyler Wright said traffic investigators are continuing to review evidence to determine fault.

The formal traffic homicide investigation is expected to take several weeks.
