The Titusville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section has arrested a local man on charges related to the possession of material depicting child pornography following an investigation prompted by a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Christopher Owens, 34, of Titusville, was taken into custody on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM. The arrest occurred at his residence without incident after detectives successfully validated the tip linking Owens to the online transmission of explicit child material.

Owens is currently facing five counts of Possession of Material Depicting Child Pornography. He is being held at the Brevard County Detention Center on a $125,000 bond.
Authorities anticipate that more charges are forthcoming. Detectives are still processing both physical and digital evidence related to the case.
Furthermore, the investigation has linked Owens to offenses in another state, and the Titusville Police Department is actively collaborating with external agencies to identify potential additional victims and file appropriate charges.
Detective Sergeant Bryan Nelson emphasized the department’s dedication to protecting children:
“Protecting children from online predators is one of our highest priorities. Our Detectives work tirelessly to track down offenders and bring them to justice. Every child deserves to grow up safe, and we will continue to use every resource available to ensure that happens while continuing to provide for a safe city.”
