Blue Origin is set to deepen its roots in Titusville and the Space Coast region with a significant expansion of its manufacturing operations here. On September 17, Titusville’s planning and zoning commission gave preliminary approval for Blue Origin to move forward with building a light manufacturing and warehouse facility on a 67.33-acre site located at 7980 Grissom Parkway.

The land is currently zoned for light industrial use, with a future designation for high-intensity commercial activity. Blue Origin is requesting a conditional-use permit to begin construction, according to city documents.

Blue Origin representatives have not commented publicly, but the proposal now heads to the Titusville City Council for final review.

The site already houses a 180,000-square-foot building with 5,400 square feet of office space, originally built in 2014. It was previously occupied by Eckler’s for warehousing and logistics. The space had been listed for lease on Loopnet.com at $7 per square foot, plus triple net expenses covering taxes, insurance, and maintenance.

A Three-Phase Expansion Plan

According to Brevard County records, Phase I of the project includes interior renovations and expanded parking. Phase II adds a new two-story, 50,000-square-foot building on the east side of the property, facing Grissom Parkway. Phase III introduces a 142,000-square-foot structure, dramatically increasing the site’s capacity.

The location offers strategic advantages — it’s near Space Coast Regional Airport and surrounded by undeveloped land to the north, south, and east. A 650-foot conservation buffer separates the site from the nearby Naples Village at Verona I neighborhood.

100 Jobs, Two Shifts, Long-Term Growth

Blue Origin plans to staff the Titusville site with 100 workers, operating in two shifts from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The company, which already employs over 10,000 people across eight sites — including its Cape Canaveral launch operations — continues to scale following the successful January 16 orbital launch of its New Glenn rocket.

A second New Glenn launch is on the horizon, as the company announced yesterday that the payload for the New Glenn 2 mission is in preparations at Astrotech and also that the first stage of the rocket would soon be at Blue’s launch facilities at LC-36 in Cape Canaveral.
