A tense situation unfolded at Oak Park Elementary School this morning when a student brought hollowed out grenade onto campus.

At approximately 7:41 a.m. on Friday morning, officers from the Titusville Police Department responded to reports of a child with a grenade at Oak Park Elementary.

The school was placed under a shelter-in-place directive, and officers quickly secured the area. Principal McDonough of Oak Park Elementary sent an email to parents stating that the grenade was a “toy”

Local authorities, including the Titusville Fire Department, promptly arrived at the scene. Officers confirmed that the object in question was indeed a inert grenade. As a precautionary measure, the school was evacuated to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Principal McDonough stated in the email sent to parents and guardians that the situation was under control. “Our top priority is the safety of our students,” McDonough said. “Law enforcement is handling the matter, and we are working closely with the student’s family.”

Parents expressed a mix of concern and relief as news of the incident spread. One parent shared a screenshot of a text message exchange, revealing that a first-grader had brought the hollowed-out grenade in their backpack.

The school later clarified that the item was not a toy but an actual grenade that had been rendered inert.

What the fuck is wrong with you. That has no matter in the fact.

      1. Ditto! Some people have no sense at all.

    2. You’re an idiot!

  2. It actually has everything to do!

  3. Never mind, a school rated A+ for diversity and C- for everything else, it answers my question 😂

  4. Absolutely a dumb question. Glad our children are safe, maybe you need additional schooling for a dumb f*** comment like that. It was a poor choice on a child who’s patents should be more careful. The color of the child has no relevance to the situation at all. Thank you for sharing your ignorance though.
