In a significant development, the Titusville Police Department has announced the arrest of three individuals in relation to the double homicide that occurred on Knox McRae Drive on July 3, 2023.

The incident unfolded around 2:50 PM, when police were called to the scene following reports of shots fired at an apartment complex parking area.

The victims, identified as Luis Alfredo Orozco Cambara, 33, and Otwual Ramon Castillo Godinez, 33, both from Cocoa, were found with fatal gunshot wounds. Cambara was discovered outside of a parked vehicle, while Godinez was inside it.

Authorities say they found two kilos of cocaine at the scene, indicating a possible drug-related motive behind the crime.

An extensive investigation led by Titusville detectives resulted in the identification of three suspects. Antario Lavon McCoy, 30, and Nicarrion Lee Anderson, 18, both from Cocoa and already detained at the Brevard County Jail on separate charges, have been charged with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder.

Additionally, Andreal Yumun Curry Jr., 24, from Mims, was apprehended by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Game Over Task Force and faces similar charges.

All three suspects are currently held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.

Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson commented on the case, stating, “We find that almost all of our violent crimes are drug-related. We are grateful for the hard work our Detectives did in this particular case to bring these suspects to justice.”

The Titusville Police Department has affirmed that the investigation is ongoing and further details will be released upon its conclusion. This case underscores the challenges law enforcement faces in dealing with drug-related violence and the relentless efforts to ensure justice for victims.
