A Brevard County Jail inmate is facing charges of criminal solicitation to commit murder after allegedly instructing his son to shoot “anybody” during a recorded jailhouse call.
The call was followed by a series of deadly shootings in Titusville, many of which involved individuals connected to the inmate’s family, according to Titusville Police.

Brandon Brown, 40, was charged after investigators linked him to a series of shootings that occurred in the days following a March 4, 2022, phone call with one of his sons. The call was made after another of Brown’s sons was shot.
“Man y’all got the green light anybody, anybody, anybody,” Brown was recorded saying during the call. “I don’t give a f**k! You can’t catch em, green light his mama [and] them. And don’t hit no cars, don’t hit no houses, don’t hit no cars, hit people.”
Investigators reported that in the four days following the call, multiple shootings took place in Titusville. Some of these incidents resulted in fatalities, and the victims had a documented history and association with Brown’s family. Police have identified Brown’s sons as the suspected gunmen in these shootings.
“The green light statement made by the defendant clearly encouraged the retaliation shootings for his son being shot,” officers stated in an arrest affidavit.
The Titusville Police Department is continuing its investigation into the series of shootings and any additional ties to Brown’s family. Brown is currently being held in Brevard County Jail as he awaits trial.
