A tragic incident took place in Mims on Tuesday, as an accidental shooting left a woman in critical condition.

The event occurred on Cinnamon Teal Drive, according to information provided by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported by helicopter to Holmes Regional Hospital where she remains in critical condition.

A sheriff’s spokesperson said investigators are conducting interviews and awaiting a search warrant to enter the residence where the shooting happened.
