A 71-year-old woman has died following a multi-vehicle crash in Titusville, authorities said Wednesday.

Gloria Jean Graham of Titusville was driving a black 2021 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on Barna Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, according to a statement from the Titusville Police Department.

Police said Graham’s vehicle collided head-on with a 2014 red Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Carolyn Marie Schmidt, 55, also of Titusville. Schmidt suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Graham was transported to a local hospital as well but succumbed to her injuries at approximately 2 p.m., police said.

Authorities confirmed no other injuries were reported in connection with the crash, which occurred near the intersection of Barna Avenue and Knox McRae Drive.

“This remains an ongoing traffic investigation,” police said in the statement, adding that further details will be released once the investigation is concluded.

For further updates, the Titusville Police Department encourages the public to monitor their official communications channels.

We loved Gloria. She will be missed.

  2. I’d be checking for a stroke or heart attack if I were the M.E. just to know for sure.
