Winter Park-based Surrey Homes LLC announced that they planned to buy 118 acres to build a 200-home single family development. The land is near the northwest corner of the intersection of State Road 46 and Interstate 95, just west of Love’s Travel Stop.

Something New
At the last meeting, City Council once again approved the Farmers Market tokens for residents using Federal American Rescue Plan Act funds in the amount of $340,000. The funds approves up to 8 Farmers Markets, providing residents $50 in tokens to spend at the Farmer’s Market.
Councilwoman JoLynn Nelson also asked staff to possibly relocate the market due to concerns from several downtown businesses saying that the market affected their business.
