A 22-year-old Titusville man faces multiple charges after barricading himself in a home and threatening family members with a gun Monday morning, police said.
Officers arrested Julius D. Castellon following a standoff at a residence on the 4400 block of Gray Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to the scene at 9:42 a.m. after receiving reports of an armed individual. Officers located family members and moved them to a safe location before identifying Castellon as the suspect.
Police said Castellon refused to surrender and barricaded himself inside the home. Detectives subsequently obtained an arrest warrant.

Crisis negotiators spoke with Castellon by phone for more than three hours. He eventually surrendered after the Titusville Police Department SWAT team responded to the scene.
Castellon is charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm involving domestic violence and one count of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person subject to an injunction.He is currently being held without bond at the Brevard County Detention Center.
Sgt. Jennings, the department’s SWAT team commander, credited the peaceful outcome to the coordination between dispatchers, negotiators, and officers.
“Their coordinated efforts, patience, and professionalism led to a peaceful surrender with no injuries to anyone involved,” Jennings said. “We are grateful for the dedication of our officers and the support of our community as we work together to keep Titusville safe.”
