At approximately 6:45 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020, Titusville Police responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a motorcycle near the intersection of Sycamore Street and South Hopkins Avenue. 

The preliminary investigation revealed Michael Ray Moon, 63, of Titusville, was driving a black 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on South Hopkins Avenue, lost control, and crashed into a ditch on the west side of the same street.

Moon was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 7:30 PM. 

There were no other injuries. 

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.

Mike ‘Moon Dawg‘ Moon made an impact on everyone’s life that he touched. He was well loved and known by many in the North Brande Brevard area and will be missed by many.

  1. Thanks alot and great job to all of his loaded friends and bosses who enabled Mike to keep drinking after multiple quality DUI’s.
    I can’t help but think of the many people inflicted that he could have helped if he could have been encouraged differently and sought sobriety fellowship.
    Paradoxically all would have turned out good!
