According to the latest update from TPD, officers responding to the 300 block of Indian River Avenue at approximately 11:58 a.m. located a deceased adult male floating roughly five feet from the shoreline. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Section and the Brevard County Medical Examiner's Office quickly arrived to take over the scene. Authorities are currently working to positively identify the man. The Medical Examiner's Office will determine his exact cause of death, and his identity will remain confidential until his next of kin can be notified.
