A Titusville man died Friday evening after crashing his sedan while actively fleeing from the Titusville Police Department (TPD).

The fatal single-vehicle crash occurred on Dec. 12, 2025, at approximately 8:11 p.m. at Barna Avenue and Nickalaus Drive in Brevard County.

The driver, a 35-year-old man from Titusville, was operating a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle was speeding southbound on Barna Avenue when it approached Nickalaus Drive.

The driver had been “stop-sticked” previously and was traveling on and off the roadway. The driver failed to navigate a sharp curve while at high speed and the sedan then struck a palm tree, a fence, and a sign. The driver, whose next of kin has been notified, was transported to Parrish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating the crash, with Lieutenant Taylor named as the Crash Investigator and Corporal Sousa as the Homicide Investigator.
