A Titusville resident has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a shooting that left a local man hospitalized early Saturday morning.
According to the Titusville Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Garden Street and S Grannis Avenue around 4:17 a.m. on May 10. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers administered life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, and the victim was transported to a local hospital. Authorities say the man is expected to survive.
Detectives quickly gathered evidence that led to the identification of a suspect. Within two hours, police arrested Calvin L. Woodson, 33, of Titusville. Woodson faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bond at the Brevard County Detention Center.
