A 28-year-old Titusville man faces DUI manslaughter charges after a fatal collision at a local intersection Friday afternoon left a pedestrian dead, authorities confirmed. 

The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 PM on March 28, 2025, at the intersection of Columbia Boulevard (State Road 405) and Windover Trail.

According to the Titusville Police Department, an adult male pedestrian was struck by a white 2017 Dodge Super Duty work truck while crossing the roadway northbound within the crosswalk.

The victim, who was returning to his workplace at Walmart, sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:01 PM. The driver, identified as Dallas Scott Weed of Titusville, remained at the scene.

Police reported observing signs of intoxication, leading to his arrest on charges of DUI manslaughter. Weed, who was driving westbound on Columbia Boulevard at the time of the crash, was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held on a $15,000 bond. 

The Titusville Police Department emphasized that the traffic crash investigation remains ongoing, with additional updates to be released upon its conclusion. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the victim, pending family notification. 

Motorists are urged to exercise caution near crosswalks and report suspicious driving behavior to local law enforcement.
